🛠 Specialized Tools & Equipment
Our clinic features climbing walls, swings, and adaptive tools that children don’t usually have access to at home. These create opportunities for movement, coordination, and sensory exploration in a safe, engaging space.
🏃 A Focused Learning Environment
The structure and rhythm of the space help them stay engaged and build confidence through meaningful repetition.
🌟 Designed for Sensory Regulation
Every detail from lighting to textures is intentionally chosen to promote calm and focus. The sensory-friendly setup supports children in feeling comfortable, safe, and ready to learn.
🎯 Opportunities for Social Connection
Therapy in a shared environment allows children to interact with peers, practice social skills, and learn cooperation through play. These moments foster connection, communication, and confidence.
🎲 Play That Builds Skills
Play is at the heart of therapy. By using favorite games and activities, therapists help children strengthen fine motor, sensory, and self-help skills while keeping sessions fun and motivating.
🤝 Families as Partners
Parents are encouraged to take part in the process - participating in sessions, learning strategies, and applying them at home. This collaboration helps progress continue long after therapy ends.

Nasjah McKay, is an occupational therapist with a background in child and adolescent development and over 15 years of experience working with children across diverse settings, including schools, hospitals, outpatient clinics, community programs, and daycares. Throughout her career, she has worked as a teacher assistant, ABA therapist, rehabilitation aide, and newborn hearing screener. These experiences shaped her understanding of child development across environments and stages of life, from infancy through adolescence.
Her areas of specialty include sensory processing, mental health, ADHD, autism, social-emotional development, and self-regulation. Passionate about occupational therapy since her freshman year of high school, Nasjah aligns deeply with the profession’s core belief that meaningful occupations are central to a fulfilling life. For children, that occupation is play — the foundation for learning, connection, regulation, and growth. This belief guides her play-based, child-led approach to therapy.
Nasjah’s therapeutic style is warm, attuned, and collaborative. She prioritizes building strong, trusting relationships with both children and caregivers, recognizing that connection is the foundation for meaningful progress. She meets children where they are, follows their intrinsic motivation, and thoughtfully weaves therapeutic goals into natural play and daily routines. She partners closely with caregivers to create a supportive, unified team and values the role of community and culture in fostering holistic development across all environments.
Originally from New York, Nasjah moved to the Bay Area 10 years ago. She earned her undergraduate degree in Child and Adolescent Development from San José State University and her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Samuel Merritt University. She has also taught children’s yoga for the past three years, where she has seen firsthand how movement can foster confidence, calm, and self-awareness. Through these experiences, she has come to admire children’s creativity, curiosity, and resilience.
