📿 Pasta Threading Activity – A simple, effective OT activity you can easily do at home!

Threading pasta onto string is more than just a craft — it’s a developmentally rich task that supports key areas of occupational performance through playful, hands-on engagement.

👣 Steps to Try:
1️⃣ Optional: Dye pasta using food coloring and vinegar for added sensory input. Let dry completely.
2️⃣ Cut yarn or string to the desired length. Tape one end to the table to stabilize if needed.
3️⃣ Encourage your child to thread pasta pieces one by one, using a pincer grasp.
4️⃣ Tie off the ends to create a wearable bracelet or necklace.

✔️ Fine motor strength and control (especially pincer grasp)
✔️ Bilateral coordination and midline crossing

🧂 You’ll Need: 2–3 lemons (cut in half), 2 cups cold water, 1–2 tablespoons of sugar (optional), ice, a small pitcher or mixing bowl

👣 Step-by-Step
Squeeze the lemons 🍋
Pour water into the pitcher 💧
Add sweetener (if using) 🍯
Stir it all up! 🌀
